സോവിയറ്റ് യൂണിയനിലെ ചെര്‍ണോബില്‍ ആണവനിലയത്തില്‍ 1986ല്‍ ഉണ്ടായ പൊട്ടിത്തെറിയും അത് ലോകത്തെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ മനുഷ്യനിര്‍മിത ദുരന്തമായതെങ്ങനെയെന്നുമാണ് യുഹാന്‍ റെങ്ക് സംവിധാനം ചെയ്ത ചെര്‍ണോബില്‍ ചര്‍ച്ച ചെയ്യുന്നത്. ദുരന്തം പുറത്തു പറയാതെ നുണകള്‍ കൊണ്ട് മറച്ചു വെച്ച സോവിയറ്റ് യുണിയന്റെ ഭരണകൂടത്തിന് നേരെ ശക്തമായ വിമര്‍ശനമുന്നയിക്കുന്ന സീരീസ് ദുരന്തത്തിന്റെ തീവ്രത ഏച്ചുകെട്ടലില്ലാതെ കാഴ്ച്ചക്കാര്‍ക്ക് മുന്നിലെത്തിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
